The feeling of celluloid in the hand is something unique on the fountain pen world ! Are those celluloid rods made in the Synthesia factory in Czechoslovakia years back, before the explosion of 1984 that destroyed the factory or they are modern celluloid ? Are there factories out there that make celluloid nowadays ?

For people who want to hold a piece of art in their hands, they are good choices !

It would look good for writing in special days, for Saint Patrick's day, for Christmas cards, and in other occasions too, and why not for everyday writing... I like it.

I have 12 Safaris. So worth it!

My first Kaweco is the Bronze Sport. I use it every day with an ink that looks very much like bronze pouring out of the pen. it’s Jacques Herbin Lie de The. It gives me such joy to write with it. My second Kaweco will be a little green Lilliput. I just bought it earlier this week, and I will pick it up on Tuesday at my Stationers in Chicago. I am very excited to get it.

Now Waterman Co. make many pens in India. After 2012 they set up factory in India. I also have Expert 3 which is Indian product.

I love the design, but do not like that you cannot put the cap on safely at the back when writing. Even though I have small hands, and the fit is fine,i think the balance of this pen is off.

May I know how much price this pen?

Absolutely love this brand. The devotion to one of the oldest forms of art is extraordinary and I find every single one of my Mont Blanc pens is a joy to write with. I’m still waiting though to purchase a beautiful 149, I plan on buying and keeping it as an heirloom for my kids and their kids etc. using it only to sign important documents and for use in celebratory as well as somber life events. Truly an awesome company.

The quality of some of the past models is very questionable specially considering the premium price tag! Some of the "vegetal resin" emits some type of residue that eats at the plating on the clip which leads to a greenish corrosion that adversely affects the resin. This leads to the clip continuing to corrode inside the cap ruining the pen. 3 of my 7 Omas have met this fate. I would be very hesitant to purchase one, sorry.

You can have the very best of fountain pens. But what matters is how good is your handwriting and what you write. I mean your thoughts, your imagination, your precision in what you write. I have so many pens but my most precious is my Dad’s Sheaffer fountain pen with a gold nib which my dad bought in 1961. The pen’s body had deteriorated and so I got the nib fitted in to an antique Sheaffer pen and still I write with it. Whenever I write with that nib I get goosebumps and thoughts of my dad flood my heart.

I like his comments on his boss “ he is thinking Pen, Pen, Pen - 24 hours a day 7 days a week”. I have some Platinum Fountain Pens as well as a Nakaya Fountain Pen. They write superb, Nakaya being outstanding.

Just received my first Scribo pen yesterday from Appelboom! It’s a Scribo Feel Graniglia 18kt gold fine nib. I was so excited to get it after seeing the Appel Bites episodes on Scribo. I chose the Graniglia because the material fascinated me. What an absolute pleasure I have writing with it. “Feel the writing” certainly encapsulates the experience. The quality of the pen far exceeds my expectations and it certainly is one of my favorite pens. Thank you for introducing me to Scribo. I see many more to come!

Tried to contact Kaweco because there's confusion about the correct clip for various iterations of this pen. The Kaweco website just gives error messages when filling out the form for asking a question, and the site provides no email address. For such an efficient-seeming company, this is disappointing. It is a nice pen, but for my hands, a bit uncomfortable. Love the idea, feel frustrated by the experience so far.

I think the whole pen should have been more creamy in colour more like the pearl on the clip, or red like Marilyn's signature lipstick with a pearl on the clip. Carrtridge only pens rule me out as i use bottled ink.

Funny enough, I stumbled upon DoodleBud's channel, before it led me here. And heck, I don't even own a fountain pen yet. Just got curious about them, after messing around with the Apple Pencil "fountain pen" setting.

Certainly hope that Scribo will be at the DC Pen Show in August. I just purchased my first Scribo Feel (Mosto) and was looking for to making a second “Feel” purchase at the DC Pen Show after trying out the various nibs. Hopefully Scribo will make it.

I bought the Omas Ogiva a month ago, and have used it a lot. Its medium nib is a joy to write with, and I'm really glad I bought it. The piston filler is very effective and works really well. I had expected that the translucent resin of the barrel would allow me to see the ink level, but the blue ink in the blue resin was not really visible. My only feedback would be to add an ink window. What a great new model for Omas, great value for money!
